And now for something totally different: Fetishes, and in particular, the foot fetish. While I cannot speak for everyone with this type of fetish, for me, it started in second grade when my teacher, "Mrs. Addy", a tall, slender redhead, routinely wore spiked, strappy stilettos while teaching us the ABCs. Many times she would wear open-toed stilettos, which would reveal her exquisitely high arches and perfectly-painted red toes. Without going into too much detail, this produced a "tingly" feeling when I'd stare at them long enough, so I'm guessing that there must be some biology at play here.
So, yes, from those days up until now, a woman's feet are the second thing I notice about her, her face, of course, being the first. And where I'm from, it's nearly always flip-flop weather, so, this makes sorting out the "yays" from the "nays" easier, should I happen to be doing some casual foot-watching. And again, I suspect that this must have something to do with choosing a mate--for instance, it's seems right in line with being drawn to women with curves..e.g..large hips, which are good for supporting her body during pregnancy; large breasts for feeding the child once it arrives, or so the theory goes. One neurologist even postulated that an attraction to feet, when sexual, is caused by the feet and the genitals occupying adjacent areas of the somatosensory cortex, which is the main sensory receptive area for the sense of touch. IOW, there might be some crossed wires involved. And while I'm not sure of the reason why I'd prefer to "touch" an attractive pair of feet over an unattractive pair - in fact, now's a good time to say that I would not only not touch an unattractive pair of feet, I'd run from them - I don't really care; it doesn't really matter if I ever know the reason.

Please define attractive feet... Just the high arches and perfectly painted toenails...? :-)
Hey bud - it's been a while - good to see you're still posting, sorry i've been distracted in other venues for a while.
It don't matter who likes what on who why ... there are no rights or wrongs in personal choices and preferences. but i'm pretty sure i can safely say that men have had a fascination with the woman's foot since ancient times - adopted in some cultures as foot binding to force feet to remain "petite" as the preference - i know that is extreme and certainly unhealthy for the person with their feet bound - but it just shows how deep it could go - anyway - we're all individuals - nothing wrong with being yourself if you aren't hurting anyone.
Yeah, I heard about the foot binding done in Eastern cultures. Petite feet - or at least, feet that are proportional to the rest of the body - seem to be the preference. But of course, as with everything else, there are exceptions to the "rule". Some dudes like chicks w/dirty feet and/or big, "flipper" feet. Me? Nah...'gotta be proportional 'n clean. No "Fred Flintstone" toes, either....oh, 'n none of that "French" stuff on toes. That style requires longer toenails, which I loathe. Shin-killer.
But back to foot binding---have you seen how it deforms the foot? Utterly disgusting, both in look, and I'd imagine---actually, I don't want to imagine---in odor. They say the skin on the foot actually dies and starts to decompose.
So, is it a "foot fetish" at that point? Or necrophilia?
See above picture for an example of what I consider "attractive feet". Mmmm....the specimen in that photo makes me salivate. And no, I'm not joking.
Meh - me personally? I could care less - feet are utility ... although if they're gross that could be a bit of a turn off - i don't particularly care if she has one or two feet or ten toes ... i'm more of a butt guy ... a woman can be plain and homely otherwise ... but if she has "that ass" ... I'm ALL in for the win ;)
To each his her own - which was the point of my original comment - people anyone can have a healthy love for anything that pleases them and it shouldn't be criticized or thought of as "peculiar" ... like one of our friends who finds my dislike for most seafood as downright bizarre and tends to rib me about it regularly ... what can i say? I just don't like it ... never have. being an adult, i'm no longer forced to "try" things i choose not to.
And yes - i've seen photos of feet that had been bound since childhood - it's flippin horrific torture in my opinion.
"people anyone can have a healthy love for anything that pleases them and it shouldn't be criticized or thought of as 'peculiar'."
I think there's too much diversity among the human species to realistically think that people aren't going to think of the likes and fetishes of others as "peculiar" from time-to-time. Some people like "water sports" in the bedroom, and as long as the people who engage in that are consenting adults, true, maybe I shouldn't criticize it, but I'm certainly going to find it a bit peculiar. That's not necessarily judging them. But it would be if I were telling them that they can't or shouldn't do it.
" ... to realistically think that people aren't going to think of the likes and fetishes of others as "peculiar" from time-to-time."
Fair enough - i was going for a soft word that would suggest being judged as abnormal or incorrect and derogatory ... as in, "it's 'wrong' for you think or do x,y or z"
Too many people are unhealthily concerned with making others say and do what they thing is "right" and not enough acceptance of those with differing thoughts and preferences that have zero effect on them in the first place
When I initially read this post I got a huge smile on my face. And honestly the words used, well... imagination was running on high-speed.
Now as a woman I do not respond to feet (and actually I never have heard other women about it either). I have to say though I have seen many as a result of my massaging activities. What surprises me is how only few people really take care of their feet. Both women and men, but especially men. Maybe it's because it's cold over here most of the time and our feet our almost always covered up.
Over here you won't find many women with painted toenails and/or pedicured feet. I guess I'm one of the few taking care of my feet all year round including having painted toenails in all sorts of colors (right now being red with a little glimmer).
And long toenails? That's not even optional when wearing closed shoes. Although I do see people who are not able to clip their own toenails, nor go to a pedicure to help them out.
Taking care of your skin and body seems to be everything but normal, even nowadays.
And seeing other people kissing other's people shoes and dirty feet... I'd rather skip these views.

Agreed. Lot's of finger-pointing and judging these days. 'Don't like nose piercings? Okay, then don't get one. 'Don't like same sex-couples marrying? Then don't attend the wedding. 'Don't like abortions? Then don't get one. Oh, and 'don't like it when men stare at your feet, baby? Then stop paying hundreds(thousands?) of dollars @ yr on pedicures! lol!
Spending thousands of dollars on pedicures? Wow, these must be awesome looking feet!!!
For a little while (not too long ago) I had a lip piercing (a ring) through my lower lip while I was a contract manager, working with suppliers and management. Seeing those reactions… so much fun…
Which category applies for music making one salivate? That's what I'm "guilty" off... :-)
I think that liking music is too ordinary to be regarded as a fetish. Well, at least in the kinky sense of the word.
Fair enough...
Okay, my "Foot Worship" post has garnered the second-most page views this month. Maybe I need to start a "Rate My Feet" site for those ladies who are too shy to chime in, but would submit photos anonymously without batting an eye. Hmmmm = )
Let's face it, the story is more than just - interesting - to read for us women and I guess a number of us would indeed wonder how they'd do following your criteria and then ... If you want the women to get/remain interested, give them something more to wonder/contemplate about. Write a follow-up story.
And well... who knows what would happen with such a site...
As an aside and in light of recent news events, i'm wondering your thoughts as to if the new pope shares your preference or he's just pressing the flesh so to speak.
Feel free to ignore if you think my making light is in anyway disrespectful - that's not the intent.
I just have to wonder if when you consider the the more well known "eccentricities" rampant in the church, if maybe the pope didn't take advantage of his elevation to put a spin on his own foot preference.
The important thing here is that i am in no way connecting any dots or making any assertions or similarities or accusations - what's feels weird if the more i'm trying to make my intent "clear" the more i feel like i'm doing the opposite and wonder if i should even post this at all.
But the intent is just to offer a a opportunity to take a swipe at the church/pope and his recent, public foot washing - and who better to ask that someone who appreciates feet and is no fan of the church.
Happy eggs and bunnies day
@Bobbie:
Have you taken a look at this feet? If this were to be about a feet fetish, you would assume he would at least arrange to have some nice-looking feet washed and kissed!
@Jeff:
How are you plans with the "rating your feet" site? I know someone three hourse driving from me who would send in pictures straight away...
Hadn't check this thread in a while....

'Hard to say, but it would be no shock to me if he had some sort of foot fetish.

I was pretty much just kidding around about that, but yet, I'm not prepared to rule it out entirely. I've always wanted to do a foot calender, so I could pick the 12 best submissions.

You know who to contact and how... This should give you at least one entry...
